Noni is an evergreen shrub or small tree with glossy dark green leaves over 12 inches long. Small white flowers appear out of cluster-like buds which grow later into a creamy white fruit the size of a potato. Different varieties have different size fruit, some are the size of a plum, others can grow as large as a grapefruit, weighing more than two pounds. The fruit has a bitter taste and a rancid
smell when ripe.
